Week eight was disappointing in some regards, and thrilling in others.
Lucas's feet appeared
to be much more balanced and had great concavity considering where we had started, but he still had disappointing wall quality.
Leaving the bits of under run heel buttress in place seemed to be working well for him, so I left it alone again while I continued to pull back his still too long toes.
I remained myself that proof is in the movement, and while Katja was thrilled with how well he was moving - he was barefoot in pasture now - I was more critical.
So... I asked her to walk him out on the lightly graveled drive. He walked sound with just a slight hitch on the bad knee side! Tight circles? Great lateral movement! He's getting there...
Lucas still has horrible Thrush.... |
